Kaempferia Marble
Kaempferia Marble is a compact tropical foliage plant grown for its broad, patterned leaves with creamy marbling through rich green. It has a lush, layered habit that works well as a feature on a shelf, bench, or bright indoor spot.
As a Kaempferia, it prefers warm conditions, gentle light, and a potting mix that is allowed to dry slightly between thorough drinks. Growth can slow in cooler periods, so care is best kept a little drier when the plant is less active.
| Position | Bright indirect light to low filtered light indoors. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can mark the foliage. |
|---|---|
| Temperature | Best kept in warm conditions, ideally above 18°C. Protect from cold drafts and prolonged chill. |
| Water | Water thoroughly when the mix is starting to dry slightly near the top. Reduce watering in cooler periods or if growth slows. |
| Fertiliser | Feed lightly during active growth with a balanced indoor plant fertiliser. |
| Repotting | Repot when the plant becomes crowded in its pot, using a loose, organic-rich indoor potting mix with good drainage. |
| Pet Friendly | Yes |
